As I read through "Learn about Family Accounts and how to share access to your Nest home" it mentions that I might need to have the combo/bundle of the Nest Secure or Nest x Yale Lock but if we're talking only cameras I guess it won't show the option...

Hi,No those steps didn't work. I don't know if it is because of the firmware for the generation of the cameras or because of software alone but those options do not show as I described 樂. I deleted and resend the invitation and no options were shown.
