Hello, exactly this issue. I'm hoping the new home app will fix this. Anybody subscribed to this should get pre public release soon.

Has there been any traction with this issue? I cannot add "as new device" as unable to select last 4 digits of SN as no selection appears. I cannot add as "works with google" as you need to link to a nest account, and you cannot create a nest account...
