I agree to this conclusion. It was the DR TV app causing my problems.After going to the google TV home screen before turnkng off, I have had no more issues.

Just to support larsvilla: I have the exact same issue with my newly bought Chromecast with Google TV 4K. Television is a Samsung QE65Q7F.
