I just tried the Update again after resetting the thermostat back to the
defaults and it updated! I wonder if Nest fixed the update issue today?
The previous 2 days I had reset the defaults a couple of times along
with restarting and it still failed....
I spent a couple of hours with Google chat support trying to resolve the
download issue and finally gave up. The thermostat won’t even connect to
