I ended up cutting a green bean can in half, filing the edge, drilling screws in the bottom, and mounting on piece of wood. Works fine, no thanks to Nest or Google.

Brad, if you can help with replacement of the magnetic mount for my outdoor wired camera, I would be very grateful.

I'm in the same situation.  Were you able to buy the mount?
