My doorbell is flaking

It has been just over a year and device is starting to flake and peel. This seems like a product defect which should have been caught. Device is barely out of warranty, so what can i do to get it replaced? I hear that its possible.

I did purchase a silicon sleeve but it doesn't cover the flaking around the edge of the device and on the glowing ring

I did not, since you mentioned that you will not replace out-of-warranty devices. I checked online, and I am out of warranty.
