I've tried to produce the issue on my Streamer to no avail, including
some 1080i50 content that seems to be an issue for some. As an example,
I tried to get VLC to replicate the behavior. I turned on content
matching, and then did:adb shell am start ...
I cannot help but find the release timing the day after the Superbowl a
bit ironic (ie, the most watched sports show that exemplifies this
issue). I'm away at the moment but excited to try the update when I have
a chance!
I am having the same issue and decided to try filing an issue on the
public issue tracker for Android Media (which has had other Google TV
Streamer issues previously). Follow along here
