i have found a solution. Go into your wifi settings on your phone and
connect that way to the chromecast (it should be an available wifi).
Then just go back into google home and it should work. hope this helps
having the exact same issue. but i know the chromecast is giving off
some kind of signal because i can see it in our playstations available
networks. just the Google Home app is not able to pick it up. so
frustrating
