I'm pretty sure that's how mine started as well. I was using ad guard
DNS manually configured in my main Google router. Once I turned it back
to the default DNS and made one of the newer nest nodes my main router,
I've never had the problem again and...
@akalati just to follow up, I am still good and working well. I have
been able to create dhcp reservations and have setup 3 port forwarding
rules (after messing around with this and deleting a bunch of them too).

Although I'm not happy to report this, I do feel that it's the right
thing to do. I spent a few hours last night trying to deconstruct this
problem and what I ended up doing was completely deleting my Google home
and creating a totally brand new one....

This has not fixed my problem. I am unable to run any tests, change any
settings or look at stats. This is complete garbage. I'm selling all 6
of my pucks on eBay tomorrow and buying a Netgear wireless router.
