I've had this happen before to me. I replaced the batteries in the
remote and did a full reset. It's been run fine every since. I do change
the batteries often to make sure this doesn't happen to me again. FYI.
The way I added it was to use the same email account and login to the
google home app on another phone. So, I have a android and iphone
inwhich I can control my thermostat with.
