Thanks for checking in Jeran. The audio skipping seemed to have resolved itself after a few days. So although curious as to what it was, good to go for now on our side.

im experiencing the same issue. only began recently and have a setup with a samsung tv with sonos sound system (chromecast is plugged into tv, tv linked to sonos)
