This is exactly what happens to me as well. I’ve tried hard restarting
the entire device and reconnecting it to my phone and to wifi, and still
no change. The only function that doesn’t work is the character alarm.
It will set a normal alarm instead ...
I am having this problem too. I have a Google home mini and a Google
nest, both are unable to do any types of character alarms, even after
the reboot instructions given above. 324896 firmware verson
