Thank you so much for your response. For me it ended up being a simple fix. I just had to erase and reload the app and the hub connected.

I just got the same item & had the same problem. For me, after trying most of the suggestions, i had to discard the Google home app & download it again in spite of info that the original app was up to date. I have no idea if this will be of any help....
