So the person on support finally told me that in Ireland, TuneIn is set
to be the default radio player and it can't be changed. This doesn't
appear to be the case in other countries, where they can specify the
radio player to use.The customer service...
It's the fact it defaults to TuneIn and there is no other way to play a
radio station without casting (defeats the purpose of the machine in
that case I could just use a speaker!).I have tried Google Support but
the chap there is adamant that "Google...
Oh for crying out loud. Why is there no other way that we can specify a
platform to play radio stations on Google Nest? If it won't play RTE
stations, then why can't we use RadioPlayer without having to Cast my
phone???
I've sent feedback and I just want to know when this will be fixed. I
got rid of the radio in the kitchen and had to do MUCH persuading to my
wife that the Google Nest was a good idea.
I'm having the same problem. TuneIn logo appears but nothing plays. I
wish there that we could default to a different App, even the RTE 1
player. But I can't see how to do that either
