I have the same issue.. But more importantly even when I don't have the
chromecast in the group I still can't really choose the song playing
through the home app. I can skip forward and back but not just choose. I

I have the same problem with YouTube music. I'd love to figure out how
to have more control over what songs are being played so I can rub it in
the face of all those other Apple junkies.
