I called ADT and was able to get the new equipment ordered. The rep did
not think the detect sensors would work. He said you can cancel the
subscription and the equipment will still work. You do still have to
sign a contract even though he claimed it...
The extra sensors from ADT are fairly cheap. My question is if I cancel
the ADT monitoring subscription after the first free year does the ADT
system still work with a local alarm, etc.
I am fairly confident the cameras will work. The new cams from google
require use with google home. I was told by nest support the
detects(motion detectors) will not work. But I do see them in google
home so I am not sure that is correct.
