Is anyone else having brutal wifi connectivity problems after the
update? Everything app I’m using works for like 5 minutes and then drops
to lower quality, then just buffers until stopping or crashing the app.

Its extremely disappointing to your customers that this issue, that was
caused by a firmware update, takes over a month to fix. Why you dont
revert to the previous firmware is beyond me, whatever issue that update
was attempting to fix must have been...
The team are working on a patch/fix since so many people are affected.
So that’s your answer, just have to give them time. Unplugging from
power or going to settings>system>restart will get it working again
until it goes to sleep again.
