You can also "swipe left" with your finger on the screen to advance.
This gets it started again for an indeterminant period of time. It will
eventually stop the slide show again, however.

version: 51.0.24.513642888Chromecast firmware: 1.68.353511Same issue. I
have sent feedback "GHT3 Nest Hub photo's freezing" although I am not
very confident that it understood "GHT3".
