Mine installed the update (422270), and I can confirm that the problem
is definitely still not fixed yet. It will start off low resolution,
then sometimes after only 3-4 seconds it will switch to high resolution
video. Other times it will take 30-40 ...
Our Doorbell camera is still terrible. It is the battery model, but
wired in. Looks especially bad at night now. But maybe they're making
some progress.

insane that Google Home does not have a simple / clear way to do this.
