sorry for late reply. I've tried to directly connect the Google TV to TV HDMI, it was working perfectly.Just like Simon says below, it might be the HDCP issue.Do you think this could be solved by software upgrade in the future ?

Hi djtetei,the reason to connect the Chromecast directly to the soundbar is .... to light up the ATOMS lol.it's also the reason why I bought Chromecast instead of using android OS on Mi TV.btw, I'll try again to connect Chromecast to HDMI on TV this ...

Hi djtetei,TV model is Mi TV 4Xit's SPEC page says the display of this model support 4K HDR (Resolution：3840 x 2160/Refresh Rate：60Hz). and I'll try to borrow a Blu-ray device to do the testing, thank you !
