I added the app to my iPad instead of my phone. As soon as I did it, I
finished the setup in just seconds. I refreshed Nest on my computer and
phone and it had the update. Try that.
I wish I had seen your fix sooner for this "selecting room" business.
Hours of resets on thermostat and iPhone, turning off/on with no
