Yeah, that used to work on Android before I ran into the same I issue. I
haven't tried it recently but the only workaround I had found was to
also change the current time interval you are in to the sensor you want.
Which is a major pain.
I've actively told people not to buy nest thermostats because of this
one issue. I work in process automation and this has been a sore spot
for me since I bought the sensors when they first came out.
As far as I can tell there is no way. I don't know if this is a
technical limitation of the electronics used (I would hope the safety
temperature is set using some system that'll function even if the
thermostat battery died, or the program was otherw...
