In my experience when you upgrade from 13 to 14, you should still
receive the push notifications until you log out of the Nest app and
then log back in. That is what happened on my Pixel 6
The sad thing is, Google has had all of the information they needed
since October to fix this. What I sent to them so many months ago is
just being confirmed by almost everyone on this thread.
Agreed that it is not a Pixel 8 problem. It is an Android 14 issue. I
stated long time ago that upgrading a Pixel 6 to Android 14, logging out
of the Nest app and then logging back in kills the push notifications.
Not sure why support is fixated on P...
Another update (February patch), another disappointment. Are the push
notifications for the Nest doorbell on the Pixel 8 ever going to get
fixed? How much did I pay for these two pieces of Google hardware to not
have them work together?
