try using 2.4 G (not 5G) for Wi-Fi

Following worked for me:used two diff google accounts for two diff thermostats on two diff floors. And switch between accounts to access one or the other. All within Nest app.

Thanks Kev1. I will try that. For now I had to use separate google accounts and switch between them to access one or the other Nest thermostat

I need it escalated as nothing seems to work after trying everything suggested above multiple times.
