One explanation could be that they store something at user level. Some
sort of flag that, for some kind of bug, prevented the login on the
mobile app too. It is a situation either not tested or horribly gone
wrong.
Great catch! It worked for me too. And after I enabled third-party
cookies on the web site and logged in, it started working on the app
too. Not sure I understand the correlation, but it worked. Thank you!
