Sorry, folks but you are on your own to figure out how to get your
Protects back online. Too many variables involved. My only help is that
when you're trying to add the Protect, at the bottom of the screen to
read the QR code you have an option to us...
I have all 3 of mine back online now. The first one joined by scanning
the QR code, but the next two had to be added using the 6 character code
and the Protect local Wifi, they couldn't communicate with the first

That would seem to reinforce my thinking that they pushed a defective
firmware update out and now they're scrambling to find a fix. There is
what appears to be a mini-usb service port on the back of the device. If

If this is a firmware failure, and I believe it is, I don't expect them
to admit to it. Google isn't what I would call a stand-up organization.
I expected something like this to happen when Google bought out Nest.
