@Jeff any news on these issues? When are you going to address this? ...or is the Nest WiFi a product being "terminated" in near future?

Android.It seems that the Nest WiFi app is not verifying the settings when you click save. If incorrect config. it seems like the config has been saved but in reality it should show an exception/alert dialog.

Google/NEST when are you going to address this issue?!
