I have 2 tvs with Chromecast with Google tv. One is hard wired by Ethernet. The other is on WIFI. The WIFI tv can stream my Google Nest cameras. The Ethernet tv cannot. So.....your tv must be on wifi to work, Google-Sony-get this limitation fixed ple...
