Thank you! I had the same problem. I took the **bleep** thing completely off - it's going back. Even without the Wasserstein, the night vision fairly well sucks (Google, PLEASE fix it) - but at least now it's a little better.

I, too, am deeply disappointed by the useless night vision on my brand new Nest cam (Battery). Take a look at my driveway - it's a perfectly clear night, but the camera makes it look like there's pea soup fog! Can anyone offer a potential remedy - or...

You're not missing anything. Unfortunately that's the way the new Nest cams (battery) work. Google is moving everything to the Home app.
