This issue has returned for me, last time Google had to replace the Chromecast.

Similar issue, sometimes a few seconds of lag, if you press multiple buttons when the TV catches up all the buttons that were pressed are actioned. This is making the TV unusable. Full factory reset did not help. Started a few weeks ago.
