I gave up waiting. I borrowed a friends pixel phone, logged in to my
account in google home, added my doorbell to my home, removed my account
from the google home app on the pixel phone and VIOLA! I’ve got a new
google doorbell. Would be neat though ...
Spent over an hour on the phone. We troubleshot everything. He ruled it
as a long standing problem. Said try again in an hour. When I asked,
what if it's not working tomorrow? He said it will be working tomorrow.
So... I guess we hurry up and wait.
I'm on the phone with Google tech support right now. Sounds like they
are experiencing a systemic issue. I will update once they give me a
definitive answer.
