I agree with you 100%. My former thermostat was (is), a Wyze unit, and
it worked fine until it didn't ! It was also about 3 years old. I still
have another Wyze unit that continues to work fine.
How old is your thermostat? My former thermostat was doing exactly the
same thing my HVAC technician told me to just replace it (which I did).
Problem solved.
