Nest Thermostat off line when internet down

While out of town, my internet went down. Thermostat also shut down.Will Thermostat always shut down when internet connectivity is lost? Thanks,Jeff

Thanks for the reply.I have no problem reconnecting. My concern is that when I was out of town for a week, the internet went down and my thermostat did as well. I came home to a freezing house at 45 degrees.
