Chromecast shows images but wont be found by Google home nor devices

Chromecast shows images but wont be found by Google home nor devices. Wi-Fi is working; this Chromecast used to Work, although had a hard time previously trying toinstall it. It shows inactive in Google Home. It format cast anything.Pls help
