My Chromecast device has received the update from Google and I am.back in business. It's working fine again.

Yup. EXACTLY what happened to me. Perhaps a Google problem? I would hate to imagine that my Chromecast device has been declared obsolete with nobody telling me in advance.

I had the same thing happen to me today. I wonder if it's a Google Server somewhere that needs a Size 12 restart.
