Yup, both our Chromecasts received a fix this morning and both working
without any input required from me - even though I had factory reset one
of them. However I do have to setup my personalization again.Thanks

I installed a spare as well, which I think I have not factory reset.
I'll check it later and see if it works.Hopefully Google will explain
how to get factory reset units operational again.
That is helpful. Wish Google had said something BEFORE I factory reset

Sounds like a similar problem to me. Seems there was an update yesterday
and since then Chromecast stopped working. At first there was an error
that said "cannot verify device". Now, when I try and setup the device
