As other have already said, please let us disable this "function".My
Ultra has worked like a charm for years and right now youtube (and only
youtube, all other apps work fine) is almost unusable.
Im having exactly the same issue, the only way i've managed to get
"around" it is to factory reset the youtube-app. This however only works
for a short time since the app then automatically updates to this new
remote-thing.
