At this point people should be able to factory reset it again and the Chromecast should work after completing the setup process, just did this with my Gen 2 Chromecast and now it's working as intended.

If you factory reset it try factory resetting it again now, just did the same with my Gen 2 Chromecast and it's working again.

My elderly aunt suffers from Alzheimer's and uses her Gen 2 Chromecast to help her fall asleep, please fix this soon.
