I had to unplug from power and Wi-Fi a couple times and then saw the update was coming in... Works now. Good luck!

This worked for me. Thanks to those who have suggested it! Still can stream, but at least it's reconnected to my home/nest and ready for the fix.

I have already done a factory reset on the Chromecast Audio device during troubleshooting... Before I read this.
