It works now. I did all the steps. It had trouble while connecting with
my internet. You forgot to mention to change the date back to the actual
one. Not sure if it is something that everyone has to do but it worked
in my case.
Did not work for me. I changed the date. Then got the activity app and
did all that was explained. After that got into Google home an tried
connecting. It is still unable to communicate with my Chromecast. The
