I did the same yesterday and finally got mines working. So I suggest
everyone change their phone date and continue to set up your Chromecast
as you normally would.
Does this apply to 3rd Gen Chromecast? I have been days unable to
connect, authenticate or communicate with my Chromecast. I have factory
reset and still no luck, please fix.
