Fantastic. Thanks for posting the solution/fix. I changed my cell phone
date to 2/1/25 then went through the steps to add my 2nd gen Chromecast
to my Home app. My Chromecast immediately began downloading updates.
Afterwards change my cell phone back ...
Okay, so I bet more people have performed a factory reset than not.
Google, you are better than this. Please send the fix ASAP for those of
us who have completed a factory reset on the 2nd gen Chromecast.
