I am thrilled to say that my Chromecast has updated and all my devices are synched now I can get out and enjoy the sunshine in my part of the world.

Hi Diana, what did you do to get it working? The google team don't seem to have caught up with letting us know (as I type this, anyway).

Me too! Sooo glad I got a link to this community - and haven't turfed my Gen 2 Chromecast into landfill. I was going bonkers trying to work out why it wasn't working - and I consider myself pretty tech-savvy.
