Google mini 2nd Gen will not factory reset or connclect to my home

Hi,My granddaughter brought her Google mini to our home. I tired to add it to our home. Our home can see the mini and will ask if we want to add it but it says that it cannot connect. I tried to do the factory reset and that did not work.
