Upgrading from gen 2 to gen 4 - wiring question

We are updating from a gen 2 Nest to a gen 4 Nest. Can I plug the wires into the same letters from gen 2 for the gen 4? I don't know how to attach a picture of the gen 2 base wiring setup.
