I know! Try searching Google nest replacements. That's all we can do if we want remote control back. The Tado coupon offer is an option but there are many posts here about problems redeeming that.

They could open source the api. But they wouldn't because it isn't in their business interests. I'll be on all my tech forums to see if any wizards could pull a simple get/set type app. Problem is security in the connection to the device though.

Yep! I feel your pain mate.I to am sick to the back teeth of their money grabbing "F**k" the customer practices and will do the same. I will never buy or touch another google product!
