that was bright and I removed that. Did not improve the visibility of
the scene beyond the porch. So it's possible that sliver was not

I had a gen1 on a place I moved out of, it was fine at night. Gen 2 was
fine at night but the connection often dropped which was rather
annoying. No connection drops on Gen 3 but the night vision is awful.

Yeah, I tried this, but it didn't seem to alter the exposure. There was
a bright-ish bit of wall on one side, I zoomed to remove it but the
exposure/gain for the rest of the image didn't change. In many setups,
and I think past Nest cameras I've used...
Yup, having switched from 2nd to 3rd gen, I like the daytime performance
better, but the night vision in 3rd gen is awful. Can't see beyond the
