Interesting that they have not come back to me at all.was is complicated to rectify?

Yes this is a real problem, Google need to act and give us a fix asap!

I am having exactly the same issues my secondary Nest refuses to connect even after factory resetting and moving it to different locations within the house. I have even tried to connect with it placed right next to the main unit. I need help!
