ADT Smart Home

LostTrucker

I had ADT and Google home working great for the last couple of years.  About a month ago it lost connection.  I have remove ADT Smart Home from Google and since tried to add it back in.  I get a message at the bottom of the screen that reads "ADT Smart Home is linked" then a message "Something went wrong, Try again"

I have tried to add it from another phone, removed, rebooted and reinstalled the ADT Pulse and Google Home Apps with no luck.  I can see that the authentication is working as it shows up under Trusted devices.  It seems that the communication breaks down when connecting the different devices to Google.  I have contacted ADT and they were unable to help and directed me to contact google.

TIA

Hi @LostTrucker

Thanks for bringing your concern to our attention and posting it in the community. I'm really sorry to hear about the inconvenience you are experiencing when re-linking your ADT Smart Home account with the Google Home App.

Here are a few things you can try:

  1. Go to the Partner Connections Manager on your phone or computer, and then at the top right of the screen, check that you’re signed in to the same Google account that you used to set up your Nest camera or doorbell in the Google Home app.
  2. Select ADT as partner connection
  3. Check on the ADT it has permission to access your Google account.

Let me know how this goes and we will find a resolution together.

Thanks,

Catheryn.
