Ability to Download Non-Event Videos

When is Google Home going to add the ability to download non-event video recording, without having to use a the recording feature of my phone (like the old Nest app was able to do)? My neighbor was attacked by a dog, and even through it had been picking up events in their yard all day, this particular 30 seconds decided not to notice anyone, anything, or any movement, and that happened to be the time they were being attacked, therefore I couldn’t easily download the clip of the incident. 
When is this “feature” going to be added to the app? This should have never been missing in the first place and is a critical feature of any home security camera system. This has been asked for, for several years now. How long is it going to take?

As of now we still don't have any information when that feature will be added on the Google Home App. Stay tuned for any update..

Myself, along with many other have been asking for this since Google took over Nest. Any idea when this necessary function will be implemented?
